Roast Beefwith Mughal Flair

Here is a recipe for roast beef which has a Mughal flair to it and is cooked on the stove on low heat.

This dish requires little attention and is great served with a baked potato and steamed vegetables.

FROM THE KITCHEN OF HUMA MURADINGREDIENTS:
5 lb rump roast

2 cups yogurt

2 Tablespoon coriander seeds

2 Tablespoon cumin seeds

5-6 whole red chilies

2" piece fresh ginger

5-6 fresh garlic cloves

2-3 bay leaves

7-8 whole cloves10 black peppercorns

2" piece cinnamon stick

1 Teaspoon whole black cumin seeds

2 teaspoon salt

3 Tablespoon oil

METHOD:In a large heavy saucepan put everything together rubbing the meat well with the other ingredients. Cook on low heat for 4-5 hours. Make sure to check every hour for liquid content adding water as needed. Serves 5-6 people

~Gout Overview~
Gout is a condition characterized by an abnormal metabolism of uric acid. People with gout either produce too much uric acid, or more commonly, their bodies have a problem in removing it. There are a number of possible consequences of this buildup of uric acid in the body, including acute and chronic gouty arthritis, kidney stones, and deposits of uric acid (tophi) in the skin and other tissues. Gout may occur alone (primary gout) or may be associated with other medical conditions or medications (secondary gout).
Gouty arthritis is considered in people who have a sudden onset of a hot, red, swollen joint. It is diagnosed by detecting uric acid (monosodium urate) crystals in the joint fluid. These crystals can accumulate over the years in the joint and trigger repeated bouts of inflammation. Repeated "attacks" of gouty arthritis can damage the joint and lead to chronic arthritis. Fortunately, there are effective medications to treat gout.

The first symptom of gouty arthritis is typically the sudden onset of a hot, red, swollen joint. The most common joint involved is at the base of the big toe, but almost any joint can be involved. In some people, the acute pain is so intense that even a bed sheet on the toe causes severe pain. Acute gouty arthritis at the base of the big toe is referred to as podagra.
Even without treatment, the first attacks stop spontaneously after one to two weeks. While the pain and swelling completely go away, gouty arthritis almost always returns in the same joint or in another joint.
With time, attacks of gouty arthritis can occur more frequently and may last longer. While the first attacks usually involve only one or two joints, multiple joints can be involved simultaneously over time.
Kidney stones are more frequent in patients with gout.
Uric acid crystals can form outside joints. Collections of these crystals, known as tophi, can be found in the earlobe, elbow, and Achilles tendon (back of the ankle). Typically, these tophi are not painful but can be a valuable clue for the diagnosis as the crystals that form them can be removed with a small needle for microscopic examination.

"Switch OFF the Light"

i was alone at that time..

waiting for my roomates to come back from outing..

today..

the KLCC have turn off the light in order to decrease the temperAture of the earth..

so, UMP was one of the community that support the action...

I was one of the student who did turn off the light from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm..

i was alone at that time..

i was so scared..alone in the darkness...but i insist to do that campaign to save the earth..

suddenly..!!!

the black out happened!!

i was so damn scared at that time..

never expected there will be black out when i was alone in that dark room (my room actually)..

after that i went to the distribution box that contain plug in it..

i'm switch on the plug as soon as possible..

after that, i'm not switch off the light back eventhough it was 8.50pm only..

But i did enjoy in involve that campaign..

Inspiring love StoRy

A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully and before it blossomed, he examined it.
He saw the bud that would soon blossom, but noticed thorns upon the stem and he thought, "How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns? Saddened by this thought, he neglected to water the rose, and just before it was ready to bloom... it died.
So it is with many people. Within every soul there is a rose. The God-like qualities planted in us at birth, grow amid the thorns of our faults. Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns, the defects.
We despair, thinking that nothing good can possibly come from us. We neglect to water the good within us, and eventually it dies. We never realize our potential.
Some people do not see the rose within themselves; someone else must show it to them. One of the greatest gifts a person can possess is to be able to reach past the thorns of another, and find the rose within them.
This is one of the characteristic of love... to look at a person, know their true faults and accepting that person into your life... all the while recognizing the nobility in their soul. Help others to realize they can overcome their faults. If we show them the "rose" within themselves, they will conquer their thorns. Only then will they blossom many times over.

...A FATHER AND HIS SON...

A son and his father were walking on the mountains. Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating,somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhh!!!" Curious, he yells: "Who are you?" He receives the answer: "Who are you?" Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!" He receives the answer: "Coward!" He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?" The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention." And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!" The voice answers: "I admire you!" Again the man screams: "You are a champion!" The voice answers: "You are a champion!" The boy is surprised, but does not understand.

Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE. It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of! our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence. This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life; Life will give you back everything you have given to it."

The moral that i have gained in this short story was about our life was not a coincidence, it is a reflection by our own.
